This keeps bigger mining conglomerates away from Litecoin because they cannot easily optimize their profits by swapping to another coin, contributing to a more decentralized experience. Litecoin also has bigger blocks, and more coins in circulation, making it more affordable and swift when transacting,’ Investopedia explained.  As explained above, Litecoin can transact a lot faster than Bitcoin, but there are also a number of other characteristics that investors need to know before trading. Litecoin can handle higher volumes of transactions because of the capability of transacting faster and if Bitcoin attempted to transact on the scale of its altcoin, a code update would be needed. However, Litecoin’s blocks would be larger, but with more ‘orphaned blocks'. The faster block time of litecoin reduces the risk of double spending attacks - this is theoretical in the case of both networks having the same hashing power.  Litecoin Technical Details: The transaction confirmation time taken for Litecoin is about 2.5 minutes on average (as compared to Bitcoin's 10 minutes). The Litecoin network is scheduled to cap at 84 million currency units.   Litecoin has inspired many other popular alternative currencies (eg. Dogecoin) because of its Scrypt hashing algorithm in order to prevent ASIC miners from mining those coins. However it is said that by the end of this year, Scrypt ASIC will enter the mass market.

Dow Futures Edge Lower With Wall Street Heading For Worst Week In Over A Month: TSLA, EXPE, ABNB, OPEN Among Stocks To Watch

<ul class="summary-bullets"><li>Opendoor reported a 34% decline in third-quarter revenue and a wider net loss, and forecast sales to decline quarter over quarter in Q4.</li><li>Shares dropped nearly 15% in the after-market session on Thursday.</li><li>Stocktwits sentiment for OPEN, however, flipped to ‘extremely bullish’ from ‘bearish.’ &nbsp;</li></ul>Opendoor Technologies, Inc.’s stock plunged 14.8% in after-hours trading on Thursday, featuring at the top of the Stocktwits trending list, as the company’s substantial push into artificial intelligence and a special warrant issue failed to cover up for the weak fundamental performance.<h2 class="st-heading-2">AI Plans</h2>Opendoor plans to roll out over a dozen AI-driven products while shifting to a mandatory in-office policy and reducing dependence on consultants, the company announced in its quarterly report on Thursday. The strategy also includes boosting home acquisitions by at least 35%, enhancing pricing accuracy and resale speed, and cutting costs.<blockquote>“Our business will succeed by building technology that makes selling, buying, and owning a home easier and more joyful,” CEO Kaz Nejatian said in a statement, stressing that Opendoor should be seen as a “software and AI company.”</blockquote><h2 class="st-heading-2">Results and Outlook</h2>However, its quarterly performance and forecast were a dampener. Sales in the third quarter declined 34% to $915 million, and net loss widened to $90 million from $78 million. Homes sold, purchased, and under contract decreased.The company expects quarterly revenue and contribution margins to decline quarter over quarter in Q4, due to low inventory levels resulting from reduced acquisition volumes in Q3. Adjusted operating loss is expected to be in the high $40 million to mid-$50 million range.“Our results in the upcoming quarter are largely the outcome of us managing decisions that were made several months ago.
