For instance, if Joe wanted to send USD to Mary using her EUR, an offer is submitted to the distributed exchange selling USD for EUR. This submitted offer forms is known as an order book. The network will use the order book to find the best exchange rate for the transaction in-order to minimize the fee paid by a user.  This multi-currency transaction is possible because of "Anchors". Anchors are trusted entities that hold people’s deposits and can issue credit. In essence, Anchors serves as the bridge between different currencies and the Stellar network.  Lumens (XLM) Lumens are the native asset (digital currency) that exist on the Stellar network that helps to facilitate multi-currency transactions and prevent spams. For multi-currency transactions, XLM is the digital intermediary that allows for such a transaction to occur at a low cost.  In-order to prevent DoS attacks (aka spams) that would inevitably occur on the Stellar network, a small fee of 0.00001 XLM is associated with every transaction that occurs on the network. This fee is small enough so it does not significantly affect the cost of transaction, but large enough so it dissuades bad actors from spamming the network.   Prior to Protocol 12, Stellar had a built-in inflation mechanism conceived to allow account holders to collectively direct inflation-generated lumens toward projects built on Stellar.  As the network evolved and grew, it became increasingly clear that inflation wasn’t working as intended — account holders either didn’t set their inflation destination or joined inflation pools to claim the inflation themselves, and the operational costs associated with inflation payments continued to rise — and so a protocol change to disable inflation was proposed, implemented, voted on by validators, and ultimately adopted as part of a network upgrade. Ives has an ‘Outperform’ rating for the company’s stock. Oklo has a 2.5% weighting in the&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/IVES">Dan Ives Wedbush AI Revolution ETF (IVES)</a> that was launched in June.&nbsp;“Our time spent in the Beltway last week with meetings on the Hill gave us incremental confidence that the push for nuclear energy in the US is now underway and positions OKLO very well for this wave of spending/growth/regulatory approval,” Ives said in the note.The analyst believes that Oklo remained one of the primary beneficiaries of the significantly increased US government support for nuclear energy, with the company being announced as an initial selection for two projects and one project for Atomic Alchemy in the Trump administration’s new Nuclear Reactor Pilot Program.He also sees Oklo benefiting from the major U.S. companies increasing investments into building data centers within the U.K., including Google, OpenAI, and CoreWeave. According to Ives, the U.K.’s decision to slash the licensing timeline to two years represents a massive acceleration for companies deploying small modular reactors (SMRs), including Oklo.Oklo stock was among the top five trending equity tickers on Stockwits late Sunday. The seven-day message volume change leading up to late Sunday was about 750%. Shares of Oklo (OKLO) hit a new record on Tuesday, reaching a high of $85.20, after a report that the U.S. is planning to set up a nuclear reactor on the moon.&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/OKLO">Oklo’s stock</a> was up more than 7% at the time of writing, having pared some gains to trade at $81.70.&nbsp;On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock moved higher over the past day, but remained in ‘bearish’ territory.&nbsp;The jump comes after Politico&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.politico.com/news/2025/08/04/nasa-china-space-station-duffy-directives-00492172">reported</a> late Monday that Transportation Secretary and interim NASA head Sean Duffy plans to unveil expedited plans for a nuclear reactor on the moon by the end of the week. According to documents reviewed by Politico, the White House is ordering the agency to solicit industry proposals for a 100-kilowatt (KW) nuclear reactor to launch by 2030.President Donald Trump named Duffy as interim administrator of NASA in July after withdrawing the nomination of billionaire Jared Isaacman while he was caught up in an online feud with the nominee’s ally, Elon Musk.The report noted that NASA had previously funded research for setting up a 40 KW reactor on the moon, with plans to have a reactor ready for launch by the early 2030s. The first country to have a reactor could “declare a keep-out zone which would significantly inhibit the United States,” the directive stated, according to the report. The directive also orders NASA to assign a leader for the effort and to get industry input within 60 days of being issued.&nbsp;The report said NASA would be looking for companies that can launch a nuclear reactor by 2030 to counter China’s timeline, which intends to land its first astronaut on the moon that same year.&nbsp;Oklo’s stock has gained more than 50% this month and over 200% in 2025.
