What Is Pi Network? Pi Network is a social cryptocurrency, developer platform, and ecosystem designed for widespread accessibility and real-world utility. Supply Model and Mining Mechanism The Maximum Supply of Pi is 100 billion tokens. The other allocations within the Effective Total Supply can then be calculated based on the same proportions as the Maximum Supply, e.g. at most 10% of the Effective Total Supply is available in the foundation reserve, 5% of the Effective Total Supply is available for liquidity purposes, and 20% of the Effective Total Supply is available for the Core Team. This remains true despite the fact that all tokens were minted at the genesis as technically required by the blockchain protocol.  Circulating Supply includes all Migrated Mining Rewards and all tokens that entered circulation from other buckets of the allocations, which at its maximum could be summed up to equal the Effective Total Supply.   Pi’s mining rewards are distributed based on an issuance formula that follows a declining exponential model defined in the Pi whitepaper. Users can increase the amount of mining rewards they receive based on their individual contributions to the network, like Security Circles, using utility-based Pi apps, running Nodes, etc. For each month, the amount of Pi to be distributed as mobile balance is capped and determined by the model, regardless of how many people or how many types of mining rewards there are during the month. The capping is achieved by the design of a system-wide base mining rate, and each type of mining rewards to each individual are just a multiplier of this base mining rate. As the monthly supplies always diminish, the base mining rate generally decreases over time.   Fewer Pi may also be issued because the real Pi issuance on the blockchain depends on Pioneers passing KYC and completing all steps required for migration to the Mainnet. Despite all efforts to facilitate and remind Pioneers to complete those required steps, there are always dropoffs along the way, resulting in less than all outstanding mobile balances to be issued on the blockchain. Because of this mechanism, the community issued amount (Migrated Mining Rewards) on the blockchain will likely be closer and closer to a line lower than the 65 billion. This is thus the reason for the variable Effective Total Supply which incorporates this effect. Effective Total Supply results from all Migrated Mining Rewards divided by 65%, as opposed to the Maximum Supply of 100 billion.  Ecosystem and Adoption Pi Network has built an integrated ecosystem that facilitates real-world transactions and decentralized applications. Pi can be used as a medium of exchange for goods and services, including online commerce and local brick-and-mortar businesses. FedEx (FDX) stock slipped 0.4% in premarket trading on Wednesday after Evercore downgraded the stock to ‘In Line’ from ‘Outperform.’According to TheFly, the brokerage also lowered the price target to $243 from $249. The new price target still implied a 6.7% upside compared to the stock’s previous closing price. According to fiscal.ai data, the stock has a consensus target price of $262.61.Evercore analysts reportedly expressed concerns over demand, which could bring risk to the company's near-term earnings estimates. They have also taken a hit as the Trump administration has moved to end the de minimis exemption, which was a trade policy that allowed low-value imported goods to enter the United States without companies having to pay customs duties or taxes.The de minimis exemption was widely used by fast-fashion companies such as Temu and Shein, which used to ship their products in small batches.FedEx is expected to post its quarterly earnings on Thursday. After taking an equity stake in Intel (INTC), Trump administration officials and military leaders are reportedly weighing whether the U.S. should acquire stakes in major defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin (LMT).“There’s a monstrous discussion about defense,” Commerce Secretary Howard Lutick&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.cnbc.com/2025/08/26/trump-pentagon-equity-stakes-in-defense-contractors.html">told</a> CNBC in an interview on Tuesday. Earlier this year in July, the government also&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://mpmaterials.com/news//mp-materials-announces-transformational-public-private-partnership-with-the-department-of-defense-to-accelerate-u-s-rare-earth-magnet-independence/">took</a> a 15% stake in rare-earth producer MP Materials (MP).&nbsp;<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/MP">MP Material’s stock</a> has more othan doubled since.Lockheed, which makes most of its revenue from federal contracts, is “basically an arm of the U.S. government,” Lunick said, adding that the Secretary of Defense and Deputy Secretary of Defense are looking into&nbsp;its economics. “These guys are on it and they’re thinking about it.”<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/LMT">Lockheed’s stock</a> edged 0.4% higher in pre-market trade, with retail sentiment on Stocktwits trending in the ‘bearish’ territory over the past day. GE Vernova (GEV) is&nbsp;set to acquire French software firm Alteia SAS to integrate artificial intelligence into grid inspection and damage assessment.<a href="http://stocktwits.com/symbol/GEV">GE Vernova’s stock</a> rose as much as 1.6% in pre-market trade on Monday.&nbsp;On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the company jumped to ‘extremely bullish’ from ‘bullish a day ago amid ‘high levels of chatter.The deal is expected to close on August 1. The transaction terms were not disclosed.&nbsp;GE Vernova said the acquisition is a part of its strategy to help utilities enhance operational systems. It will be a part of the company’s GridOS portfolio, which&nbsp;allows utilities to proactively plan for and operate the electric grid through disruptive events such as&nbsp;storms and wildfires that can impact the availability of reliable power.Scott Reese, the head of GE Vernova’s electrification software business, stated that the deal will help the company address “critical pain points” in utilities, enabling them to prevent disruptions and restore power quickly.GE Vernova already offers Alteia’s software to customers through its Visual Intelligence product, which helps utilities “see” the grid and assess damage. GE Aerospace (GE) reported a better-than-expected second-quarter (Q2) performance on Thursday, prompting the company to raise its financial targets for both 2025 and 2028.&nbsp;Revenue, earnings, and cash flow all surged, driven by strong demand in its commercial services division and a significant increase in order volume.Following the earnings,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/GE">GE Aerospace stock</a> traded over 2% higher in Thursday’s premarket.On Stocktwits, retail sentiment toward GE Aerospace improved to ‘bullish’(71/100) from ‘neutral’ territory the previous day. The Commercial Engines &amp; Services (CES) unit revenue jumped 30% YoY to $8 billion.&nbsp;The operating profit for Q2 gained 23% YoY to&nbsp;$2.3 billion, and the operating margin contracted 10 basis points to 23%.The free cash flow of $2.1 billion in the quarter increased 92% YoY. GE Aerospace held $10.8 billion in cash and equivalents as of June 30.The company raised its 2025 revenue growth outlook to mid-teens from low-double-digits and adjusted EPS to&nbsp;between&nbsp;$5.60&nbsp;and&nbsp;$5.80 from $5.10&nbsp;to $5.45.GE also increased its 2028 revenue growth outlook to a double-digit compound annual growth rate (CAGR) and expects adjusted EPS of approximately $8.40. The company stated that it will increase capital returns to shareholders from 2024 to 2026 by 20%.Backed by a record-setting engine deal and improved supplier performance, the company now projects operating profit to reach $11.5 billion and free cash flow to hit $8.5 billion by 2028.“We are raising our 2025 guidance and 2028 outlook, with our operating performance and robust commercial services outlook underpinning our higher revenue, earnings, and cash growth expectations,” said Chairman and CEO H.
