This structure is used to incentivize users to buy BNB and do trades within Binance.  Binance announced in a buyback plan that it would buy back up to 100 million BNB in Q1 2018. The coins are then burned. This means that they are devaluated to increase the value of the remaining coins. This benefits investors. China’s leaders have vowed to curb aggressive price cuts by domestic companies, saying the practice has fueled excessive competition that threatens the health of the $19 trillion economy.&nbsp;The “anti-involution” campaign, launched in response to industrial overcapacity left by past stimulus policies, targets price wars that regulators warn could entrench deflation and undermine growth, according to a Reuters&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/what-is-involution-chinas-race-to-the-bottom-competition-trend-2025-09-14/">report</a>.&nbsp;“Involution,” or neijuan, became a buzzword in 2020 to describe the exhausting cycle of hyper-competition with little reward. In China’s economy, it has come to symbolize industries investing heavily without meaningful returns, signaling a race to the bottom that policymakers now fear is destabilizing employment and profits.Data released by China’s National Bureau of Statistics last week showed that consumer prices fell at the fastest pace in six months due to volatility in food price but the decline in producer prices slowed, a separate Reuters report&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.reuters.com/world/china/chinas-producer-deflation-eases-helped-by-crackdown-price-wars-2025-09-10/">said.</a> "Effects of 'anti-involution' that started in June-July are starting to be felt," said Xu Tianchen, senior economist at the Economist Intelligence Unit, the report added.The sectors most exposed include electric vehicles, solar panels, lithium batteries, steel, cement and food delivery. Analysts calculate that China’s 2024 solar capacity alone could cover global demand through 2032, highlighting the scale of the glut.In food delivery, giants Alibaba, JD.com and Meituan have spent billions in subsidies to dominate the one-hour “instant retail” segment. Tesla, Alibaba, JD In Crosshairs Of Beijing’s Anti ‘Involution’ Drive Aimed At Curbing Price Cuts To Reverse Deflation

Regulators are targeting industries from EVs and solar to food delivery as price wars slash margins, deepen deflation risks, and put jobs at stake across China’s economy.

Rivian Automotive CEO RJ Scaringe&nbsp;believes the EV maker’s $5.8 billion technology alliance with Volkswagen Group will underpin the German automaker’s planned ID.1, a $20,000 EV he called Europe’s “answer to China.”&nbsp;Speaking at&nbsp;Morgan Stanley’s 13th Annual Laguna Conference on Thursday evening, Scaringe said the launch would draw close attention from competitors.“Every car company will buy it. BYD will buy it. Xiaomi will buy it and XPeng will buy it,” he said. He added that they would be “impressed” by the vehicle’s network architecture, ECU layout and electrical systems, which were designed to scale from VW’s entry-level models to Porsche and Audi flagships.R2 Autonomy&nbsp;To Leap Beyond HighwaysScaringe also spotlighted Rivian’s own product pipeline, led by the $45,000 R2 five-passenger SUV. While Rivian already offers hands-free driving on highways, he said the next step is “hands-free everywhere,” followed by “eyes-off” operation and eventually turn-by-turn autonomy.&nbsp;He said that&nbsp;the shift represents “something like a 50x increase in the number of roads that the vehicle is going to be able to drive on, driving itself.”The company plans to hold an event at the end of the year to showcase its autonomy technology, including hardware details, its compute and perception stack, and demonstrations of the system in operation.Scaringe forecast that hands-free driving on all roads will expand next year, with “eyes-off” autonomy targeted for 2027–2028. He said that if executed well, the feature could “unlock massive pools of demand” and significantly expand Rivian’s customer base.Data Flywheel Powers Rivian’s AI TrainingRivian’s Gen2 system marks a clean break from the Mobileye-based setup in its first vehicles. Scaringe said Rivian brought its compute, sensors and perception fully in-house, enabling the company to build a “data flywheel” to train its autonomy system using real-world driving data collected from its fleet.He said Rivian’s smaller vehicle base compared with Tesla’s is offset by advanced camera and radar systems, particularly 3D imaging radar, which helps improve training in difficult conditions like rain or fog.Not Enough EV Choices Under $50KScaringe&nbsp;reiterated that EV adoption in the U.S. remains stuck at around 8% because of limited options for mainstream buyers. “The number of great choices [under $50,000] is well under the number of fingers on my hand,” he said, pointing to Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y as the only broadly compelling choices today. BYD executives boosted their holdings this month in a show of confidence after a sharp slide in the stock price and reports of a downgrade of&nbsp;the Chinese EV giant’s sales outlook.At the time of writing,&nbsp;<a href="https://stocktwits.com/symbol/BYDDF">BYD shares</a> were down 0.2% in both Shenzhen and Hong Kong.Senior vice president Luo Hongbin, CFO Zhou Yalin, senior vice president Yang Dongsheng, vice president Luo Zhongliang and vice president Li Wei acquired a combined 221,800 A-shares between Sept. 1 and 9 through centralized trading in Shenzhen, worth about 23.6 million yuan ($3.3 million), CnEVPost&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://cnevpost.com/2025/09/11/byd-execs-increase-holdings/">reported</a>.Another 32 core personnel purchased 266,400 shares valued at 28.7 million yuan, bringing total insider purchases this month to 488,200 shares, or 52.3 million yuan ($7.3 million). Singapore’s revised schemes will provide buyers with up to S$30,000 in savings on electric cars through 2026, supporting the city’s plan to have all vehicles run on cleaner energy by 2040. 

Chinese EV behemoth BYD shares eased 0.28% in Shenzhen by late morning Tuesday, extending Monday’s 1% drop, as investor sentiment stayed cautious over slowing growth.&nbsp;The weakness came even as the automaker confirmed plans to launch the 2026 Seal 07 DM-i, the next version of its second-best-selling sedan, on Sept. 15.The 2026 Seal 07 DM-i debuted at the Chengdu auto show in August with upgrades including a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor, BYD’s DiSus-C body control system and the “God’s Eye B” smart driving system, CnEVPost&nbsp;<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://cnevpost.com/2025/09/09/byd-to-launch-updated-seal-07-dm-i-sept-15/">reported</a>.The updated Seal 07 DM-i is&nbsp;slightly larger than the current version, now measuring 4,995 mm in length and 1,900 mm in width, with the same 2,900 mm wheelbase.
